Tell us more about yourself and why you have decided to pursue a career in Early Childhood Development:

"I am a mother to one awesome son. Working with kids is something I enjoy doing. It all began when I was a young adolescent and used to look after my younger siblings. Simple things in life bring joy to small children. There is continuous personal growth in yourself while working with young children. It's a really fulfilling job, especially when you can see how you actually impact children's lives for the better.

What is - from your point of view - the typical role and responsibilities of a childcare provider in an early childhood development field?
”A childcare provider must have patience, offer love, acceptance, appreciation, encouragement and guidance, while also supervising children to ensure their safety at all times.”

What makes you excited to work with children?
”To become familiar with each child's unique personality. Each child is different, having their own mannerisms and emotions and to be able to promote confidence and independence in each unique child is a feeling no one can describe.”

What is your main field of study?

“CareChamp College Early Childhood Development Practitioner (NQF4) - Graduation: 2024.”
