Sr Bomikazi

I am a qualified professional nurse since November 2020, currently residing in Durban, South Beach, KwaZulu-Natal.

I hold a Code 8 driver's license and completed my training at R K Khan, St. Andrew's Hospital, and King Edward Hospital from December 2020 to August 2022. Subsequently, I worked at St. Joseph Hospital Entabeni from September 2022 to March 2023, after which my contract concluded.

I was born in Zastron South Africa in 1968 and currently reside in Cape Town.

I became a registered nurse back in 1990 at the former H.F. Verwoerd Hospital in Pretoria. I primarily focused on my career in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Additionally, I gained experience working in a frail care center in Port Alfred. Later on, I relocated from Port Elizabeth, where I had been employed at a mental health facility.

During my leisure hours, I relish spending time outdoors, exploring hiking trails, bonding with my family, and having a deep affection for animals.

I was born in the Karoo in Eastern Cape in 1967 and currently reside in Cape Town.

I graduated from Nico Malan College as a General and Psychiatric Nurse, as well as a Midwife and Community Health Nurse, 36 years ago. I furthered my studies and became a Ophthalmic Nurse in 1996 at Groote Schuur Hospital and pursued Management Development at the University of Stellenbosch in 2004. I’ve since worked at various hospitals such as Groote Schuur Hospital, Vincent Palotti Hospital, Metropolis Pathologists and 13 years at the Western Cape Blood Service.

I am currently involved in an Organic Health and Cleaning Products business.

In my free time I enjoy reading and public speaking.

I was born in Port Elizabeth in 1956 and currently reside in Palmridge, Port Elizabeth.

I graduated from Charlotte Searle Nursing College as a General Nurse 44 years ago. I furthered my studies and became a registered Midwife in 1996. I’ve since gained experience in the following fields: surgical, orthopedic, neuro, thoracic, pediatric, antenatal, immunization chronic care, labour wards, burn units, as well as geriatric. My nursing career was spent at the Provincial Hospital, Uitenhage Hospital, Livingstone Hospital as well as Karstens Primary Healthcare Clinic.

I am currently involved in charity work within my community, and I offer my time to provide bed baths to the elderly in my church.

In my free time I enjoy swimming, camping, hiking and watching rugby, tennis and cricket.

Sr Martha M

I am a Staff Nurse and companion. I graduated as a Staff Nurse at Nico Malan Nursing College in 1961 and started nursing at Somerset Hospital. I’ve been working as a Staff Nurse for 44 years and have experience in many fields within the nursing industry.

I have worked for various hospitals specialising in many things such as Dialysis, Wound Care, Palliative Care and Chemotherapy and Oncology Care. I am experienced in surgical, medical and oncology nursing, as I’ve worked in those wards at Netcare, Mediclinic, Life Healthcare, various agencies and old age homes. I managed the Dialysis Unit for 10 years at Vincent Palloti Hospital. Furthermore, I trained nursing carers at Fisantekraal Development Centre for years.

I am currently a receptionist, every second weekend, for a guesthouse that my family and I are managing. However, I am still doing nursing on a casual basis.

In my spare time I enjoy reading, exploring outdoors, hiking, knitting, and traveling.

Sr Brenda

I was born in Cape Town in 1967 and currently reside in Bellville.

My nursing career spans over 10 years. I graduated from Netcare Training Academy as a Registered Nurse.

I am currently a Head Nurse at Oude Westhof Retirement Village and work closely with various nurses and caregivers.

In my free time I enjoy traveling, visiting clients or reading a novel.

I was born in Pietermaritzburg in 1987 and currently reside in Pietermaritzburg.

I speak the following languages: English and a bit of Zulu.

My nursing career spans over 16 years. I graduated from KwaZulu Natal College of Nursing as a Registered Nurse and Midwife. I’ve gained experience working at various hospitals during my training.

I am currently a Registered Nurse who specializes in General, Psychiatry and Community work, at Greys Hospital.

In my free time I try my best to keep fit and go to the gym.

Sr Regina

I am a Registered Nurse. I graduated as an Enrolled Nurse at Northdale Hospital in 1980 and started nursing at Town Hill Hospital in 2003. I qualified as a Registered Nurse in 2006 and furthered my studies and graduated with a Diploma in Psychiatry in 2008.

I have worked for various hospitals doing general nursing and psychiatric nursing over the course of 41 years. I have a certificate in Vaccinating as I was a vaccinator in Chatsworth during the Covid outbreak. I have also just recently graduated from a counselling and leadership course.

I am currently on the executive board of Rainbow Haven Old Age home and like to partake in voluntary work. The longest volunteer work I am involved in is arranging feeding schemes for rural developments in Pietermaritzburg.

In my spare time I like gardening, reading and spending time with family and friends.

I was born in Zambia in 1971 and currently reside in Johannesburg.

My nursing career spans over 30 years. I graduated from Netcare Training Academy as a critical care Nurse.

Currently I am finishing off my BCUR degree with UNISA. I have also done lots of short courses and in service training which equips me to handle clients needs with expertise.

In my free time I enjoy traveling, listening to music or reading a novel.

“I started my training in Healthnicon Western Cape Campus in Parow from 2008 as Home base carer I continued my studies to be enrolled nursing assistant till 2010. August 2010 I've worked at Booth memorial Hospital as ENA till June 2011. I’ve furthered my studies at the same college as a Enrolled Nurse till 2012.

I have worked in various hospitals moonlight for different agencies, in 2014 March I got A permanent post as an Enrolled Nurse at Tygerberg hospital orthopedic ward.

Nice experience I’ve gained there but needed to grow in my career, decided to resign in 2016 December to further my studies.

Went back to Healthnicon for general bridging course in 2017 then finished at Netcare Western Cape Campus 2019, I registered in February 2020.

I'm currently working at Tygerberg hospital for a contract since August 2020.

I am about to assist as the physical home nurse assessor for CareChamp in the Cape Town region.

This comprises of home care assessments and care plan creation as well as required nursing procedures. I also ensure to identify the best suitable caregiver(s) for our clients in Cape Town”.

In 2020 I advanced my learning in HIV and TB Management and acquired a National Certificate of NIMART through an accredited medical institution , Aquah School of Training in which I advanced within the field to NIMART Clinical mentorship.

I completed an Adult Primary Care Qualification through UCT initiation program for learning accompanying this is a dispensing license which I completed through Sefako Makgatho University of Pharmacy in 2022.

I am currently studying at Cape Peninsula University of Technology, doing my postgraduate Diploma in Occupational Health Nursing and in the process of acquiring my certificates in Audiometry and Spirometry through a medical accredited institution, Education for Health Africa”.

I am a private nurse practitioner and I am currently practicing in Richards Bay. My specialty is advanced wound care.

I have been a nurse since 1992 and started specializing in wound care in 2011. I also obtained an Advanced Diploma Health Science Education and Advanced Diploma Health Service Management

I spend most of my time at work and love watching movies in my spare time.
