What makes you a good caregiver?
“I am a good caregiver because I provide gentle and compassionate care. I am patient when working with seniors and always make sure that their personal hygiene and comfort are well taken care of.”

What makes you most excited about working with seniors?
“What I enjoy most about working with seniors is spending time with them, helping them and making sure they feel cared for. I enjoy building a relationship with them and providing the patience, attention and support they need.”

In what skills area do you feel most qualified to be a caregiver? “I feel most confident in providing personal care and assisting clients with their daily needs. My skills include assisting with feeding, changing nappies, bathing and maintaining a clean and hygienic environment for the client.”

Your best day at work you’ve ever had and what made it so good?
“My most memorable day was when one of my patients collapsed and I was able to assist her. I performed first aid, placed her in the recovery position, checked her vital signs and contacted CMR for further assistance. When they arrived, they complimented me on how I had handled the situation. I felt very proud and happy knowing that I had remained calm and was able to help someone during an emergency.”
