What makes you a good caregiver?
“In my years of experience, I have learned that being a good caregiver means showing trust, love, dignity, consistency and calmness. I believe it is important to be reliable, attentive and detailed in the care I provide. Families have trusted me because I treat every client with respect and remain calm and focused, especially during emergencies.”

What makes you most excited about working with seniors?
“What excites me most about working with seniors is hearing their stories and learning from their wisdom. Over the years, I have learned many valuable things from the seniors I have cared for, and some of these lessons have helped me grow in my caregiving experience. I enjoy building strong relationships with my clients and helping them feel independent, comfortable and supported in their daily lives.”

In what skills area do you feel most qualified to be a caregiver? “I feel most qualified in personal care, mobility support, memory care, behavioral support, health management, household management and hygiene. I am comfortable assisting clients with their daily needs while helping them feel safe, respected and supported.”

Your best day at work you’ve ever had and what made it so good?
“One of my most memorable days was when a client had a fall while we were busy with activities. I was able to remain calm and assist the client without panicking or making them feel afraid. The situation helped the client develop greater trust in me, and it reminded me how important it is for a caregiver to stay calm and reassuring during difficult situations.”
