What makes you a good caregiver?
“My personality is one of my greatest strengths as a caregiver. I am naturally compassionate, patient, and dedicated to helping others. What truly sets me apart is the genuine love and respect I have for the elderly. Caring for others comes naturally to me, and I take pride in providing support that helps clients feel comfortable, valued, and cared for. My passion for caregiving motivates me to always give my best and make a positive difference in the lives of those I care for.”

What makes you most excited about working with seniors?
“What excites me most about working with seniors is that I learn something new every day. I enjoy the way the team works together and communicates, because strong teamwork helps us provide better care. I also love spending time with the patients, treating them with kindness, respect, and love. I always make time to listen to them, as they often share meaningful stories and life experiences that are both educational and inspiring.”

In what skills area do you feel most qualified to be a caregiver?

“I feel most qualified in working with elderly patients. I have built strong connections with seniors and understand that each person has different needs, personalities, and preferences. Some elderly clients may be fragile, humorous, or even a little stubborn at times, but I believe this helps caregivers learn patience, understanding, and flexibility every day. Although I have also worked in a paediatric ward, I feel especially passionate and confident when caring for elderly clients.”

Your best day at work you’ve ever had and what made it so good?
” One of my best days at work was when I noticed an elderly lady in the ward who was not receiving much attention. I greeted her and realised that she was unable to respond properly at first. I spent time with her over four days, offering care, patience, encouragement, and support. During that time, I saw a positive change in her condition. She began to speak more clearly, respond when spoken to, and eat well. The doctors were surprised by her improvement, and it made me feel proud to know that my care, attention, and compassion had made a meaningful difference in her recovery.”
