”I enjoy working with seniors because I am a good listener, I follow instructions well, and I am also confident working independently when needed.”

In what skills area do you feel most qualified to be a caregiver? “I have over 7 years of caregiving experience and feel most confident caring for bedridden and stroke patients. I have experience with mobility assistance, safe transfers and PEG feeding. I have also worked in nursing and psychiatric wards..”

Your best day at work you’ve ever had and what made it so good?
“One of my most rewarding moments was helping a patient who did not want assistance from anyone. I entered her room with a smile, greeted her warmly and asked about her day. She became comfortable with me and eventually allowed me to assist her with showering. This reminded me how important patience, kindness and trust are in caregivers.”
