What makes you a good caregiver?
I am kind, patient, and always willing to help. I listen to my clients and make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and respected. I do my best to care for people the way I would want my own family to be cared for.”

In what skills area do you feel most qualified to be a caregiver?
I have gained extensive experience working in step-down facilities, where specialised care is required due to patients having a wide range of needs. I have cared for patients requiring post-operative care, palliative care, disability support, stroke care, stoma care, and basic physiotherapy as well as in home settings. This has helped me become confident in supporting patients with complex needs, while always focusing on comfort, safety, and dignity.

What makes you most excited about working with seniors?
I enjoy working with seniors because they have so much life experience and are nice to spend time with. I like helping them stay independent and making their days a little easier and happier.”

What was the best day at work you’ve ever had and what made it so good?
My best day was when a client told me that she felt calm, happy, and well cared for. Knowing that I made a positive difference in her day meant a lot to me.”
