What makes you a good caregiver and childminder?
“I’m caring, calm, and patient, and I connect well with both seniors and children. I make sure the people I look after feel safe, understood, and supported. I always bring kindness and a positive attitude into every home I work in.”

In what skills area do you feel most qualified to be a caregiver and childminder?
“I’m confident with personal care, mobility support, meal preparation, and helping clients follow their daily routines. With children, I enjoy keeping them busy with safe activities, assisting with homework, and creating a warm, playful environment. I’m also good at keeping things organised and clean.”

What makes you most excited about working with seniors and children?
“I love that both seniors and children appreciate patience and love. Seniors enjoy companionship and gentle support, while children bring energy and curiosity. Being able to comfort, guide, and support both age groups makes the work meaningful for me.”

What was the best day at work you’ve ever had and what made it so good?
“My best day was when I was caring for a senior client and her grandchild at the same time. We spent the afternoon talking, playing a simple game, and laughing together. Seeing both of them relaxed and happy reminded me why I enjoy this work so much.”
