What makes you a good caregiver?
”I’m a gentle and patient person who truly cares about the people I look after. I always give my full attention, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and treated with kindness and respect. I’m grateful for the chance to care for others, and I stay humble in everything I do.”
In what skills area do you feel most qualified to be a caregiver?
“Over the years, working in sub-acute facilities and with private clients, I’ve gained solid experience in personal hygiene, grooming, dressing assistance, passive exercises, and medication reminders. I also prepare healthy, balanced meals based on each client’s needs. I’m comfortable with eldercare as well as post-operative care, stroke support, palliative and end-of-life care, disability care, and basic wound monitoring.”
What makes you most excited about working with seniors?
”I enjoy spending time with seniors because they have so much wisdom and life experience to share. It makes me happy to brighten their day and support them in ways that help them stay positive and comfortable.”
What was the best day at work you’ve ever had and what made it so good?
”My best day was when a client who didn’t usually talk much started smiling and chatting with me during our walk. Seeing that change and knowing I helped lift their mood made my day special.”
