What makes you a good caregiver?

“Taking care of people is my passion. I am a compassionate, empathetic, observant and caring person that enjoys being a caregiver.

In what skills area do you feel most qualified to be a caregiver?

“I've gained experience in various types of health conditions such as Frail, Palliative, Mental, and Physical Disability care and other requirements from my years of experience working at frail care facilities as well as hospitals. I’m comfortable and experienced in PEG feeding and wound monitoring as well.”

What makes you most excited about working with seniors?

“Working with seniors is an extra opportunity to keep on learning. They are filled with wisdom and so much knowledge and they never shy away from teaching us. Each senior is different as well so I always leave with a little more experience gained.”

What was your best day at work you’ve ever had and what made it so good?

“My best day at work would be the day I finished at my training, whereby I was given a guard of honor from my colleagues for all the help I have provided while working with them. It made me feel good knowing that my hard work was appreciated.”

What personal values are most important to you?

“Compassion, loyalty and discipline.”
