What makes you a good caregiver?

“I respect my patients at all times and show empathy, this makes it easier for me to excel in my job as patients always appreciate a caregiver who is patient and loving. ”

In what skills area do you feel most qualified to be a caregiver?
My approach is centred on frail and specialised care, where I provide compassionate support with post-operative care, PEG tube feeding, dementia and disability care, and catheter care assistance. I am experienced in wound care, pressure care, and monitoring vital signs, and I focus on keeping clients comfortable through proper positioning and bed care. I work gently and respectfully, always prioritising dignity, safety, and emotional reassurance.”

What makes you most excited about working with seniors?

“I learn a lot from them and they require love and help so I am always willing to provide and care for them.”

What was the best day at work you’ve ever had and what made it so good?

“One of my best days with a patient was seeing one of my patients who was very sick and unable to get out of bed slowly improve with care and encouragement. With time, she was able to get up and feel better, and it meant a lot to me to see her progress over time with my support.”
