”I once had a client in Rondebosch that I looked after for quite some time. One morning when I came in to do my shift. I noticed something was off when I rang the bell several times for him to open up for me. I rushed over to one of his neighbors that has a spare key to the house so we managed to get in only to find him hurt lying on the floor. It was the first incident with my caregiving carer, I managed to get him the assistance he needed by following all the necessary emergency precautions. That’s when I felt like a true champ .”
In what skills area do you feel most qualified to be a caregiver?
“Over the years, I have gained experience in Dementia Care, Physically Disabled Care, Mentally Disabled Care, Disabled Care for Children, Nanny Care, Vital Signs, Pressure Care, and CPR Training.”
What makes you most excited about working with seniors?
Seniors are the most fascinating to me because they give us the opportunity to learn from them, to observe different personalities, which leads us to become better versions of ourselves as individuals.
