What makes you a good caregiver?
“I am a caring, compassionate, and hardworking person who takes pride in providing quality care. I always ensure that my responsibilities are completed thoroughly and that my clients are comfortable, safe, and well looked after. I believe in treating every person with kindness, patience, dignity, and respect.”
What makes you most excited about working with seniors?
I genuinely enjoy working with elderly people because it gives me the opportunity to make a positive difference in their lives. I love assisting them with daily activities they may find challenging, offering companionship, and bringing smiles to their faces. Knowing that I can help someone feel happy, comfortable, and supported makes my work truly rewarding.”
In what skills area do you feel most qualified to be a caregiver?
“I am confident working in both healthcare facilities and private home care environments. I enjoy being part of a team where we can support one another to provide the best possible care. I am equally comfortable working independently, taking responsibility for my duties, and ensuring that each client receives attentive, personalised care.”
Your best day at work you’ve ever had and what made it so good?
“One of my most memorable days at work was when I arrived at a ward that was extremely busy and disorganised. I took the initiative to assist the patients, move them safely to a comfortable area, and restore order to the ward while continuing to attend to their needs. When management arrived, they were impressed with how I had handled the situation and recognised my efforts with flowers and chocolates. It was a proud moment that reminded me how much I enjoy helping others and making a difference through my work.”
