Compensation
Assessments & Procedures:
1 hour RN Home Nursing Assessment & Report: R450
30-45 minutes Virtual RN Assessment & Report: R250
1 hour Visits for RN nursing procedures: R400
Locum Nurse Shift Rates:
12-hour Day/Night Shift: R1,620
Sundays: Paid at 1.5× standard rate
Public Holidays: Paid at 2× standard rate
Facilitation Fees:
In class facilitation: R175 per hour (minimum 6 hours booking)
Workplace Supervision Check-In: R175 per hour (minimum 4 hours booking).Site visit, learner check-ins, feedback, forms
Travel over 30 km per way will be reimbursed at R4.80/km, measured from the nurse’s home to the client and back via the shortest Google Maps route.
About CareChamp: CareChamp is dedicated to providing high-quality care and training services through both our Home Care division and Care College. We are looking for experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team as independent contractors. As a CareChamp RN, you will play a crucial role in supporting the health and well-being of our clients and learners through professional nursing assessments, follow-up visits, essential nursing procedures, and the facilitation of Care College training programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct home nursing assessments to evaluate the health status and care needs of clients.
Perform follow-up visits to monitor clients’ progress and update care plans as needed.
Carry out nursing procedures, including wound care, medication administration, and other clinical tasks as required.
Provide clients and their families with education and guidance on managing health conditions at home.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.
Collaborate with the CareChamp team and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Facilitate HBC NQF Level 3 training.
Perform locum shifts at healthcare facilities as required.
Requirements:
Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in nursing, preferably in homecare or community health.
Ability to work independently and manage your schedule effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong clinical skills and attention to detail.
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel for client appointments.
Availability for 2-3 appointments per week.
