CareChamps Lifelong Learning Q4 2021

We at CareChamp are always looking to equip our Champs and motivate them in delivering the best care needed.

We do that with an in-person yearly Refresher Training as as well as virtual videos and articles ongoing throughout the year. Champs are motivated to continuously learn, repeat what they learnt, and add to their skills.

We hand them certificates of appreciation and for completion as well.

CareChamps were trained and recapped on the importance of Vital signs it is an important component of monitoring the adult or child patient's progress during times when they are feeling ill or physically drained on certain days, as they allow for the prompt detection of delayed recovery or adverse events. Vital signs are measured to obtain basic indicators of a patient's health status and well being.

Keeping a client clean and groomed plays a big role in Caring as well as ensuring the client eats healthy, the right medication is given at the right time. Elderly persons should always be obstacle free, nothing should restrict their movement as it can be a risk hazard.

We believe in Light house keeping @ its best! Being neat and tidy is one of our main points. “A place for everything and everything in its place”

We believe that “The beautiful thing about learning is that nobody can take it away from you.”

Some feedback on how the In-Person Training impacted CareChamps:

“In addition to learning, I also received valuable training from the facilitator, who provided a road map for how to talk to our patients as well as how to care for elders.”

“I agree that the training is a good and needed platform for caregivers to interact with each other, with the facilitators, and to gain more knowledge and understanding regarding patient care and assistance.”

“Thank you to Sr. Phathiswa and the CareChamp team for organizing all of that and for sharing your knowledge with me. I learned a lot and felt refreshed as well.”

“This was a very informative and helpful training. The SR who conducted it has a way of explaining to ensure everyone understands.”
