Tell us more about yourself and why you have decided to pursue a career in Early Childhood Development:

"As a mother of two and a former musician, I previously worked at Bridges Academy in a creative capacity within the music school. My contract ended in 2023, where I had been teaching creative arts to grade 8 and 9 students. The reason I decided to pursue early childhood development is my deep belief in my ability to teach children, coupled with my profound love for them. I find studying their minds and behaviors incredibly fulfilling and enjoyable. Ultimately, my goal is to establish my own mindfulness center.”

What is - from your point of view - the typical role and responsibilities of a childcare provider in an early childhood development field?
”The responsibilities of a childcare provider include creating a safe environment for children, providing access to classroom resources and tools, preparing and serving meals, adhering to safety and sanitation protocols, communicating effectively with families, and fostering positive relationships among the children.”

What makes you excited to work with children?
”I feel excited when children show eagerness to explore new things, and I find joy in being there to guide and teach them. Witnessing their learning process is thrilling because their mindset is inherently fascinating.”

What is your main field of study?

“CareChamp College Early Childhood Development Practitioner (NQF4) - Graduation: 2024.”
