Our Caregiver Relief Services

Relief or respite care is temporary, short-term care provided to family caregivers. While caregiving is a rewarding job, it’s also demanding and no one is equipped to do it alone. Caregivers are encouraged to take breaks on a regular basis to avoid burnout and isolation. Whether it's for just a few hours, a week, or an extended period; get the support you need and make the process more positive for both parties.

Accepting help

Many family caregivers hesitate to ask for help, either because they don’t want to be a “burden” or because they don’t want to admit they can’t do everything themselves. But when you don’t take a break you put your health at risk, affecting yourself and the person in your care. Besides accepting help from family and friends, have you considered reaching out to a professional?

Lean on a professional

Going through a trusted home care agency (like CareChamp), as well as getting a care assessment by an experienced registered nurse, will make it easier for you to find the right caregiver and hand over responsibility when you need help.
